WEXFORD CO. -- Two people are hurt, including a good samaritan, after two vehicles crash into an Amish cart in Wexford County.

It happened around 8:00 a.m. Tuesday on E. 16 1/2 Road, just east of N. 41 Road in Cedar Creek Township.

Deputies say a pickup truck driven by a Manton man was heading east on 16 1/2 Road when he crested a hill, was blinded by the sun, and hit an Amish cart with a woman and a young boy inside.

The truck driver stopped to help along with bystanders from a nearby home.

Minutes later, a second vehicle driven by a Manton woman, crested the same hill and was also blinded by the sun.  The second car hit the Amish cart, pushing it into one of the bystanders.  Before coming to stop, the car also hit the truck.

The 15-year-old bystander was airlifted to the hospital for treatment.  The driver of the car was also taken to the hospital.
