Wednesday kicks off the annual Labor Day drunk driving crackdown across Michigan.

As the holiday weekend marks the end of summer, law enforcement will be picking up patrols for impaired driving.  More than 10,000 agencies are participating in the nationwide crackdown with nearly 2,400 involved from the Midwest.

The extra patrols will continue through September 6, with police being extra vigilant during the high risk night time hours.
