MANCELONA -- A U.S. Marine from Mancelona was killed while fighting in Afghanistan.
According to his brother, Sgt. Jason Calo, a 2005 graduate of Mancelona High School, died during an insurgent attack.
Sgt. Calo leaves behind his wife Sara and 2 children.
Mancelona High School's principal who was also Calo's teacher tells 7&4 News that he was very athletic, playing football, baseball and wrestling.
