Police are treating the crime as a homicide investigation.
MUSKEGON (AP) -- Authorities in Muskegon Heights are investigating a fatal shooting in the western Michigan city.
WOOD-TV in Grand Rapids reports the call came into police around 3:20 a.m. Monday that one person had been shot near the corner of 5th Street and Summit Avenue.
Police found a 23-year-old man dead in a car at that location. Muskegon Heights Police Chief Lynne Gill tells The Grand Rapids Press investigators are treating it as a homicide investigation.
