MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Authorities say a 23-year-old Wisconsin Iraq War veteran shot and killed his pregnant wife, 13-month-old daughter, three dogs and then himself.
Police in Superior said Thursday they don't know why Matthew Magdzas killed his 26-year-old wife April Oles and their daughter, Lila. Investigators believe the killings happened Tuesday.
Tessa Buscko, a friend and former colleague of Oles', says Oles was due to give birth by C-section Wednesday to the couple's second daughter.
That was the day Oles' mother went to the couple's home and found the family dead.
