MANISTEE -- The Manistee Police Department is asking homeowners to make sure their homes are locked up, after several break-ins.

Police were called to a home on the 600 block of Browning Ave. Tuesday morning.  The home owner said someone broke in while they were sleeping and stole several items. The thieves entered the home through an unlocked back door.

Two other homes had also been broken into during the night in the same neighborhood.   All of the homes had unlocked doors.

Police are asking people to lock their doors and keep their eyes open for suspicious activity.   If you have any information on the crimes you are asked to contact the Manistee County Central Dispatch at 231-723-6241.
