The search is on for a man who robbed a fruit stand by gunpoint in Cheboygan County.

The Cheboygan County Sheriff's Office was called to the village of Wolverine around 2:40 p.m. Wednesday.

The owners of the cherry stand said a man holding a handgun demanded all of their money.  After the money was handed over the gunman ran away on foot.

A K-9 unit was called in to search the area but deputies were unable to locate the man.

The man is described as 6 foot tall, 20-30 years of age with a shaved head, clean shaven face.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Sergeant Michael Brege at (231) 627-3155.
