A Cheboygan woman is dead after the car she was riding in crashed with a semi-truck.
It happened Friday around 2:15 p.m. on I-75 near the 338 Exit.
The crash involved a 1997 Geo and a 2006 International Semi-Tractor Trailer. The Geo was occupied by the driver, Therese Warner, a 38 year old Cheboygan resident and a passenger Patricia St. Amour, a 68 year old Cheboygan resident.
Warner and St. Amour were taken to the hospital where St. Amour was pronounced dead. The semi was driven by Roger Nast, a 56 year old Cheboygan resident. Nast was not injured during the crash.
The Emmet County Sheriff's Office closed the southbound lanes for about 5 hours while investigators worked on the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
