TRAVERSE CITY -- Two Traverse City teens are facing charges for assaulting a homeless man. Police are still searching for two others who are accused of the crime.
It happened on the 1000 block of East Front St. in Traverse City on May 31.
The 59-year-old man told police he was approached by four young men while he was walking. He said he was punched and kicked after he fell to the ground.
Thursday police questioned a 17-year-old about his possible role in the assault and he admitted his involvement. He was released pending authorization of warrants.
A few hours later, police arrested an 18-year-old for the crime. He is in jail facing charges of Aggravated Assault.
Police say more warrants may be sought as the investigation continues.
