TRAVERSE CITY -- After two back-to-back tours in Iraq, Deputy Greg Stroh is back to patrolling the streets of Grand Traverse County.

Stroh first joined the Grand Traverse County Sheriff’s Office in 1999 as a temporary part-time snowmobile officer.

On February 28, 2000, Sheriff Tom Bensley said Stroh was hired as a full time permanent road patrol deputy.

In October 2006, Stroh dedicated himself to Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was recently honorably discharged as a 1st Lieutenant/Captain Select.

Stroh returns home to his wife, Jarah, and son, Jackson.
