TRAVERSE CITY -- The Grand Traverse Catholic Schools is getting a $2,500 grant for its science program.
GTACS placed fifth in the country for the Lands’ End “Way to Grow” contest.
Families could vote once a day during the contest period for the school of their choice on the Lands’ End website. The school had 1,376 votes.
The top five schools in the country receive $2,500 to use on science related materials.
The school has chosen to use the money for scientific graphing calculators and reading materials for integrating science across the curriculum at the elementary level.
