PETOSKEY -- The Michigan State Police are warning Northern Michigan hotels and motels to be aware of a string of recent suspicious calls.

Police say the unidentified caller has tried to get sensitive information of hotel and motel operations as well as personal information of female employees.

The businesses involved are all from different chains that are not affiliated with one another.  The calls have all taken place through out the past two weeks.

Police urge hotels and motels to be careful about security and to let employees know of the issue.  If anyone receives these calls you are asked to contact  the Michigan State Police Petoskey Post at 231-347-8101.
