Tribal Chairman Appointed To Presidential Advisory Council
LEELANAU CO. -- Today the Whitehouse announced that President Obama intends to appoint a Northern Michigan resident to a national advisory council.
President Obama named Derek Bailey, the Tribal Chairman of the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians, as one of the people he intends to appoint to the National Advisory Council on Indian Education.
The President said those that serve on the council will bring expertise and committment making them a tremendous asset to the administration.
