TRAVERSE CITY -- Traverse City Police Officer Joseph Soffredine has been offered a plea deal by the Grand Traverse County Prosecutor that would drop his drunk driving charge.

Video of a fight at the House of Doggs restaurant helped the prosecutor on deciding the charges against Soffredine.  The video shows Soffredine getting into a confrontation.

Now, under this new deal, the drunk driving charge could be dropped to impaired driving.  If Soffredine pleads guilty to the charge in the plea deal, hat would allow him to keep his driving privileges.

Soffredine has until May 25 to decide on the deal.  If he declines, jury selection for a trial will begin.
