LANSING (AP) -- Organizations that say they're upset with the condition of Michigan's roads are again calling for more funding for transportation projects.
A coalition of business groups, road builders, transportation agencies and motorists is gathering Tuesday at the state Capitol.
The coalition is urging lawmakers to come up with a solution that would allow the state to spend more money on roads.
Proposals that would boost road funding, including higher taxes on gasoline and diesel fuel, aren't getting much attention in the Legislature.
The state plans to delay hundreds of road and bridge projects scheduled for the next five years because of its inability to raise enough money to match federal transportation dollars.
