Investigators say gun accidentally discharged
A downstate man is dead after a hunting accident in Missaukee County.
It happened just before 8:30 Saturday morning in West Branch Township. The Sheriff's Office says 49 year old Ingo Joerges from Berkley was turkey hunting with a friend, his muzzle-loader accidentally discharged.
Investigators say Joerges died of a single gunshot wound, and the accident is still under investigation.
