BLAIR TWP. --

The Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Office is releasing the name of the man killed Wednesday night while crossing the highway in Blair Township.

It happened around 10:00 p.m. on U.S. 31 South, just west of County Road 633 in Blair Township.

The Sheriff's Office says a westbound vehicle, driven by a 22 year-old Interlochen woman, hit  25 year-old Robert Cassiday, who was crossing the roadway.

Cassiday was pronounced dead at the scene.  The driver was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

Officials are still investigating the crash and the possibility that a second car may have also hit the pedestrian.
