BLAIR TWP. -- A Grand Traverse County man is dead after being hit by a car while crossing the road.

It happened around 10:00 p.m. Wednesday on U.S. 31 South, just west of County Road 633 in Blair Township.

The Sheriff's Office says a westbound vehicle, driven by a 22 year-old Interlochen woman, hit the 25 year-old Grawn man, who was crossing the roadway.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.  The driver was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

Officials are still investigating the crash and the possibility that a second car may have also hit the pedestrian. The victims name will be released after relatives are notified.
