ACME -- Another generous donation has moved Acme Township one step closer to completing its bay front project.
Steve Smith, the managing partner of the Village at Grand Traverse LLC, donated $100,000 to the Shoreline Preservation Initiative.
Acme Township Supervisor Wayne Kladder says the township is now only $155,000 short of what they need to complete a 1-million-dollar match grant from the state.
