TRAVERSE CITY --
Traverse City leaders are taking the next step in creating regulations for medical marijuana.
Traverse City Commissioners will continue discussing four different options to deal with the issue and are moving forward with a moratorium tonight.
The moratorium, which could be voted on, would stop any medical marijuana dispensary from opening until October 18, 2010.
This would allow city leaders to put regulations into place and take a close look at zoning ordinances.
Officials will speak with medical marijuana groups and also speak with patients who use medical marijuana when crafting the new regulations.
