CLARE COUNTY --
Detectives in Clare County were contacted by investigators in Midland County about a large amount of guns that were found in a wooded area.
A resident in Freeman Township found a rifle hidden under a log while cutting firewood. He later found another 30 guns. When deputies arrived they also located three handguns in the same area.
Officials in Midland County say the guns were stolen from a resident there and have been turned over to the rightful owner. Both Counties are working on leads and hope to find a suspect in the case.
Anyone with information is asked to contact either the Clare County Sheriff's Office or Midland County Detectives Bureau.
