MONTMORENCY COUNTY -- Residents of a small Montmorency County community are stunned -- that's where a dead baby was found left in a dumpster. Late Thursday a suspect was located.
The investigation began Wednesday afternoon at a gas-well site off S. Matthews Road in Vienna Township. The sheriff's office says an employee there is the one that discovered the body. They say the baby appeared to be full-term and that it was probably sitting in the dumpster for two or three days. In the last 24-hours investigators and members of the community have sat stunned by the news -- trying to figure out who left the baby there. Late Thursday the sheriff says they've found that person, no further information was given. The body was sent down to Grand Rapids for an autopsy.
