Saturday night accident near State Park
One man is dead and a woman is hurt after an accident near the Otsego Lake State Park. It happened just after 11:00 pm Saturday night in Otsego County, just south of Gaylord.
State Police say Larry Vincent Calhoun of Gaylord was driving north on the Old 27 South Highway, when he crossed the center line and struck another car head on. Calhoun was pronounced dead at the hospital. State Police say Calhoun wasn't wearing a seat belt.
The driver of the car, a 21 year old woman from Gaylord, was seriously hurt. But investigators say she has non-life threatening injuries.
The investigation is still open.
