Despite temperatures heading up, a few Northern Michigan ski resorts say head on out while it’s still here.
"As we drove up we thought oh boy, there can't be snow here. Pleasantly surprised," said Sherry Zeitler.
Zeitler says they're usually South-bound.
"I lay by the pool, they ski, we meet up for lunch. It's a perfect vacation, better than Florida," Zeitler laughs.
This year, the family's spring break is being spent closer to home, at Boyne Mountain, where the mountain is staying alive with a little bit of snow.
“We should have enough snow to make it through Easter Sunday," said Boyne General Manager Ed Grice.
As everything else continues to green up, check out their golf course. Last week, they actually watered the course the same day they made snow, which is the first time they've ever done that in Boyne History.
"Not only are we just running, we're certainly not limping along," said Nub’s Nob General Manager Jim Bartlett.
Nub's Nob has a nice base on the face of their mountain.
“The hills are just perfect. It's like skiing in January with warm weather. Every run is just perfect," said skier Michael Kelley.
28 runs continue to be open at Nub's Nob. Bartlett says that's not bad with the majority of the snow left being what was made in November.
“Come up as soon as you can and get going and we'll stay open as long as we can and hopefully we're here for you," he said.
Nub's Nob also plans to stay open through Easter. So get your skiing in while it's hot, because the heat is slowly taking its toll.
