Two-car crash closes part of busy roadway
At least two people were hurt in a two-car accident in Grand Traverse County.
It happened around 1:00 pm Sunday afternoon along U.S. 31, right in the intersection at Holiday Road. Two cars were involved, and two ambulances were called to take people to the hospital.
There's no word on the extent of their injuries, although both victims appeared to be talking with rescuers. U.S. 31 heading out of Traverse City was down to one lane near the intersection, and traffic was ultimately re-routed to 5 Mile Road while crews cleared the accident scene.
