TRAVERSE CITY -- Health officials in Grand Traverse County are trying to help adults get the vaccinations they need.
The Grand Traverse County Health Department’s "Immunization Station" is set to open this Friday, March 26th, next to JC Penney in the Food Court at the Grand Traverse Mall.
Friday’s clinic runs from 8:30am to 12:00pm for Adults age 19 and over who are uninsured or have no vaccination coverage.
Adults can receive the following vaccinations for only $7 each:
H1N1 Influenza Vaccine – for adults 19+
Shingles (Zoster) Vaccine – for adults 60-64
Pneumonia (Pneumonococcal) Vaccine for adults 19+ who smoke, have asthma, or other risk factors
Tetanus-Diphtheria-Pertussis (Tdap) Vaccine – for adults 19
Clinics for adults will continue each Friday from 8:30am to 12:00pm from April 9th through April 30th and into May. Additional clinics targeting 6th graders and pre-school children will also begin in April.
