KALKASKA CO. -- A fire investigation is underway in Kalkaska County after a home is destroyed.
Crews were called to the home on Fletcher Road, just east of Morris in Garfield Township around 4:00 a.m. Friday. Firefighters had to go back out to the home several hours later after it reignited.
No one was inside the home at the time, but the Fire Chief tells 7 & 4 News the owner was doing some repairs and remodeling work inside late Thursday night.
The cause is still under investigation.
