MIO -- An 18-year-old woman from Mio is arrested in connection with an investigation into Attempted Homicide, 1st Degree Home Invasion, carrying a concealed weapon, and possession of a firearm.
Michigan State Police Troopers say they were called to a home in Mentor Township in Oscoda County Wednesday afternoon on a report of gunshots being heard. Troopers found say they found Jamie Marie Phillips holding a semi-automatic pistol. Officials say she told them she just tried to shoot her 18-year-old boyfriend, also from the Mio area.
During the investigation Troopers learned that Phillips became upset with her boyfriend and left their home, broke into another home and stole a handgun. The suspect came back to the original home and tried to shoot her boyfriend.
No one was hurt. The investigation continues.
