KALKASKA -- The Owners of the Kalkaska Kaliseum have figured out a way to save money and help the environment.

The popular sports complex adopted ‘’green energy’’ by undergoing an extensive light fixture overhaul.

Thanks to a generous donation from Springfield Commercial Roofing, the Kaliseum is now equipped with Apollo Light Pipes, which can light the complex with nothing more than sunlight.

Browne electric helped with the retrofit portion of the project.

With the project now completed, Kaliseum managers say they will see the entire project paid back in energy savings within the next two years.
