EAST LANSING (AP) -- Brownfield and waterfront development projects are the topic of a gathering at Michigan State University.
The Michigan Higher Education Land Policy Consortium's seminar series on "Reinventing Prosperous Places" continues Thursday with the event titled "Brownfield Utilization Models, Policies, Strategies and Economic Impacts."
Speakers will discuss changing private and public approaches to brownfield and waterfront development, as well as ways that brownfields can help be a part of environmentally friendly infrastructure.
Brownfields are unused or underutilized industrial areas that often have problems related to contamination.
More details are available on the consortium's Website, which you can find on THIS LINK.
