Skywarn Spotter Training

As we close in on Spring, the National Weather Service wants to teach you how to spot sever weather before it hits.

Tonight is the first in a series of storm spotter training courses being held across northern Michigan.

The idea is to promote a cooperative effort between the National Weather Service and communities so that together they can provide the most accurate information possible.

We asked Jim Keysor, Warning Coordinator Meteorologist, today about what sort of things you can learn by taking the course.

The presentations are free and open to anyone of any age.
