Effort to destroy mobile home leads to fire
The Wexford County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a fire at a mobile home this weekend. It happened around 8 p-m Saturday night, on West 14 Road near M-37.
The Mesick Fire Chief says the small home was being demolished at the time, but he's calling it an illegal burn. The chief says the mobile home was set on fire, but that fire grew out of control.
Crews were on the scene for about two hours, but there were no injuries.
Because of the illegal burn the Fire Chief says the Sheriff's Office is getting involved in the investigation.
