CEDAR -- A Leelanau County family is without a home tonight, after a fire.
This was the scene just after 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at a home near the intersection of Kasson Center and Pierce Roads.
Three different fire departments raced to the scene after a 9-1-1 call reported a chimney fire. In less than 15 minutes the fire had spread and fully engulfed the home.
Flame shot more than 30 feet into the air, smoke could be seen for miles.
Firefighters told 7 & 4 News that everyone made it out safely, but that a dog was missing. The family of five is said to have lost everything.
