CHEBOYGAN COUNTY -- A Cheboygan County woman is dead from injuries she suffered when a snowmobile ran over her.
It happened Friday at the home on Heilman Road in Munroe Township. Officials say the snowmobile was running but the cover had not been completely removed from the machine. When 66-year-old Nora Killpatrick tried removing the cover it caught the throttle and caused the snowmobile to lurch forward.
Killpatrick was hit by the snowmobile, which then hit a parked car. Killpatrick was taken to the hospital where she later died from her injuries.
