Annual event helps with a variety of issues
Northern Michigan residents are getting some free help weekend, at an annual event sponsored by several service agencies.
It's called "Super Saturday", and it's an effort of the Poverty Reduction Initiative. The event is held twice a year at the Traverse Bay Area Intermediate School District's Career Tech Center. About 200 people came through the doorson Saturday. It's a chance to get free advice on everything from cooking on a budget, to saving on utility bills by winterizing your home, to getting free help filing your tax return.
The Career Tech Center will host another "Super Saturday" event in October.
