TRAVERSE CITY -- It's an annual celebration of the snow!
Volunteers are jumping up and down with excitement for this years Cherry Capital Winter Wonderfest. It's not just because they can't wait to take part in the seasonal fun... they were helping pack snow into huge blocks.
Those blocks will then be used to carve the snow sculptures that help add the wonder to winterfest. The festival kicks off next Friday and continues thru Monday.
There will be music, fireworks, snow and ice sculptures, outdoor games, a monster dog pull, the polar plunge, a petting zoo and for the first time at winterfest... a beer tent.
