TRAVERSE CITY -- Some of the country's foremost writers are coming to Northern Michigan for a series of events hosted by a local writer.
The national writers series kicks off next week at the Traverse City Opera House with nationally syndicated advice columnist Amy Alkon.
Series founder and best-selling Traverse City author Doug Stanton says Alkon is just one of 30 writers who have signed on.
The list includes many best-selling authors including former NBC news anchor Tom Brokaw.
The 2010 national writers series season begins next Thursday, February 11th at the Traverse City Opera House with Amy Alkon.
The doors open at 6pm with the event starting at 7pm.
