An explosion and house fire continue to be under investigation in Mackinac County, while the two people inside at the time of the blast are treated for their injuries.

The explosion was reported around 7:35 p.m. Tuesday at the home on M-134, about a mile east of Cedarville.

Two people inside the home, Paul Hensley and Christy Shea, are being treated at the University of Michigan Burn Center in Ann Arbor.

Mackinac County deputies, along with the Michigan State Police Fire Marshall Investigator determined the cause may have been related to a propane gas leak at the home. The investigation continues and the case remains open.
