Athletes are lacing up their skates and waxing up their skis for the 2010 Special Olympic Winter Games.
Time Trials were held Wednesday at Howe Arena in Grand Traverse County for athletes who will be taking to the ice Thursday.
Competition began Thursday with events at the Howe Arena and Schuss mountain in Bellaire.
