School leaders across Northern Michigan are asking parents to make sure their children are in class on Count Day, which affects how much funding the state gives districts.
The state-wide student count day is February 10. This is the second count date for the 2009-2010 school year.
District funding is dependent upon the foundation grant received from the state for students enrolled and attending on this date.
