Extension of Frostbite Food Drive proves helpful
Father Fred received a record number of donations during this year's effort to stock the shelves at its food pantry. Organizers say 58 pallets of food and more than $35,000 in cash donations were received.
The foundation also says donations collected at Fox Grand Traverse for an extra three days helped make sure the drive reached its goal. Father Fred says more than 100 volunteers also stepped up to help take donations for the 3,000 families in need in the Grand Traverse region.
