THE ANNUAL FOOD COLLECTION EVENT KNOWN AS THE FATHER FRED FROSTBITE FOOD DRIVE CAME TO AN END SUNDAY. IT'S AN EFFORT TO COLLECT FOOD FOR THE PANTRY AT THE FATHER FRED FOUNDATION, WHICH SERVES THOSE IN NEED IN THE FIVE COUNTY GRAND TRAVERSE REGION.

THIS YEAR THEY WERE HOPING TO FILL THREE SEMI-TRUCKS FULL OF FOOD. tHE WEEKEND WAS  STEADY WITH PEOPLE GIVING FOOD ITEMS AND CASH DONATIONS. THE FOOD COLLECTED OVER THE PAST TEN DAYS COULD LAST ABOUT SIX MONTHS.

IF YOU CAN HELP, IT'S NOT TOO LATE TO DONATE.  FOX MOTORS IN TRAVERSE CITY IS STILL COLLECTING ON BOTH MONDAY AND TUESDAY. AND YOU CAN ALWAYS MAKE A DONATION ANYTIME TO THE FATHER FRED FOUNDATION ON HASTINGS STREET IN TRAVERSE CITY.
