Cook-off supports Downtown Traverse City events
What do you get when you ask 15 area restaurants to bring 30 gallons of chili under one roof? It's the Annual Chili Cook-Off in downtown Traverse City.
Inside the Park Place Hotel, the restaurants and their chefs are bringing 20 different chili recipes straight to the public. And people lined up out the door to get in on the taste testing. They also get to go over the ballot line-by-line and vote for their favorites.
It's a popular event that always draws a crowd... while supporting the Downtown Traverse City Association.
This year's "People's Choice Award" for the best overall recipe... goes to MINERVA'S, for their White Chicken Chili.
