Old Mission wineries pick five groups to receive funds
A group of wineries of the Old Mission Peninsula says together, they're donating $9,000 to various causes. The money comes from an annual year end donation and the results of their first annual Day of Giving event held earlier this month. That day each winery donated 15% of gross sales.
Each year "WOMP" makes a contribution to area agencies that support the local food and wine industry. This year the wineries are making donations to:
*Migrant Health Clinic
*MSU Viticulture Education
*Michigan Wine Foundation
*NMC Community Band
*Old Mission Peninsula Women's Club
The Wineries of Old Mission (WOMP) is a group of seven wineries on the peninsula.
