Dennos getting ready to close three exhibits
The Dennos Museum in Traverse City has a number of exhibits on display - but some of them are set to come down in about ten days. Among them - the art of the Woodland Indians. The exhibit includes everything from quillwork and basketry to paintings.
Another exhibit set to close around January 3rd is the collection of Inuit prints. 50 prints from the museum's collection are on display to celebrate the 50 year history of Inuit printmaking... which goes back to 1959.
And finally, the Dennos is showing off a collection of Presidential papers. The exhibit includes documents from presidents like George Washington, John Adams, and Abraham Lincoln, as well as portraits of the Presidents. The documents include everything from land deeds to naval appointments, and even a military discharge order signed by George Washington.
