Michael Moore announces a three day festival in February that will bring laughs to Northern Michigan
TRAVERSE CITY -- Get ready to laugh during the dead of winter in Traverse City.
Michael Moore announced the first annual Traverse City Comedy Arts Film Festival Wednesday.
Moore says he hopes the three day event, February 19-21, will bring some fun during the cold months while helping boost the local economy.
"Traverse City is going to be full of comedy during this comedy festival weekend," explains Michael Moore. "We have some of the top name comedians who are going to do concerts here, we are going to have improv groups, sketch comedy, we are going to have a tribute to a very famous comedian who is going to be here, we're going to have comedy films kid comedy shows and if you've seen the quality of what we've brought in with the film festival you'll know what were going to do with this."
The names of the comedians taking part in the festival will be announced after the holidays. Tickets will be available at the end of January.
