Area business leaders are speaking out against new legislation that would move up the first day of school.
The Bill would allow districts to start classes before Labor Day.
Opponents are worried the tourism industry would suffer a financial hit. Proponents of Bill say its tied into the Obama Administrations plan to give 400-million-dollars to five different states for education reform.
