School craft fair gives them gift ideas
Some kids in one area community are getting a jump start on their holiday gift shopping - by making some of those gifts by hand.
Saturday is the holiday craft fair at Lakeland Elementary school in Elk Rapids. Visitors can make gifts for brothers and sisters, moms and dads, and even the family pet.
The President of the school PTO says while they hold many fundraisers throughout the year, this one generally doesn't make much of a profit. And that's by design - the PTO wants it to be a time to give back to the community and make it a very inexpensive way for families to celebrate the season.
