The Toys for Tots campaign continues to help make the holidays happy for children in need
CADILLAC -- The Toys For Tots campaign is in full swing and the community is stepping up to help those in need by donating hundreds of new unwrapped toys.
Officials say they are expecting a 20% increase in requests this year due to the struggling economy.
The Toy Trolley made a stop in Cadillac Wednesday. When the bus rolled into the Ruby Tuesday's parking lot it was greeted by a group of Meijer employees who hand delivered shopping carts full of toys for the annual toy collection drive. Meijer ended up donating $6,500 worth of toys.
The stops for the rest of this week are below:
- Thursday December 3, Gaylord, Walmart 4:00-7:00 p.m.
- Friday, December 4, Traverse City, Burger King near Meijer 8:00a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
