Call ahead for bus service during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend

TRAVERSE CITY -- The Bay Area Transportation Authority is getting ready for the upcoming holiday weekend.

Prearranged bus service will be available on a first-come, first serve basis from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day, for in-town rides only.  If you need a ride on Thursday, November 25, you must call 231-941-2324 no later then 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday to set up your bus service.

There will be no zone or fixed route service, which includes the Cherriot routes on Thanksgiving Day.

Regular service resumes on Friday, November 27.  The Cherriot fixed route service runs from 6:10 a.m. to 6:10 p.m. for those needing to catch a ride at the many stops around the community for Black Friday shopping.
